We Christians are forever saying the bible first and above all. Sola Scriptura as they say. we preach that the bible teaches love for all.
We also teach the Justice God holds for all.
We use this truth of a God who will meet judgment to sinners as a sledge hammer. We seem to pick on all the sin that we find abominable and hammer the nail into them time after time. It is true that idolaters, fornicators, and such will face judgment at Jesus’ second coming but, we seem to choose the ones that we hate the most, such as homosexuality and place it as the unforgivable sin.
Talk is cheap as they say.
Jesus while He points out that there is a judgment to come where we all, even His followers will be judged by what works we put out, points out also that He expects, especially as those claiming to know the truth to love sinners. This includes even the homosexual.
This at times may be very hard to do but, until we can learn to love even them first before we preach to them they will never see Jesus in us; only hatred. Plus the more we act this way the more we become responsible for most of the hatred they toss our way.
They no longer place their trust in our words. Our words have said God and we love you. Our actions however said we hate you and so does God. Die homo sexual die.
Is it not better to hear God say this to us?
